Bio-Hack Your Performance
There is a lot you can do on your own to start bio-hacking your performance. It's possible to make huge strides on your own with a few tools and a strong commitment to your goals.
Here's where I'd start:
1. Order a copy of Stacy Sim's book ROAR. You can find it on Amazon. Don't know who Dr. Sims is? Check out her latest TED Talk and be prepared to have your world turned upside down. Dr. Sims is one of the leading researchers on gender differences in athletes and will provide a good foundation on how our female body responds differently to exercise and what to do about it.
2. START TRACKING your menstrual cycle, nutrition, exercise, and other pertinent metrics so that you can see if any patterns emerge. You can use my Period & Performance Tracker or build your own. The goal is to start keeping a log so that you can later go back to glean any insights.
3. MAKE A CHANGE and track its impact over a period of time. It's tempting here to make multiple changes as once; however, I caution you to slow down so that you can better determine which change is having the most impact. Continue tracking and implementing changes until you reach your desired outcome.
Good luck. Hit me up in the comments with your questions or drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org
